I GRADUATED !

Yesterday I was ordained as a deacon at our church. Anyway, I was given a framed certificate and a plaque. Well, my older son walks through the room and sees it on the table and says, "Dad, congratulations...I am so glad you graduated!" Now that really cracked me up. We asked them if they knew what a deacon was. They answered, "you are one of Pastor Deans helpers." That will work for me. :)

Then Michelle asked me to ask Parker (4 year old) what country in Africa he is "studying" about...I asked, and he answered "Zambia." Ok, first I would like to say how funny it is just to hear the word Zimbabwe from a four year old! Very funny. Next he proceeds to draw a map of what he called America....He next said Zambia is "JUST NEXT TO Georgia." Hmmmmmmmmmm? I told him they are a little further away...There is an ocean between the two to which he replied, "NO there isn't." There was NO changing of his mind. This little, red headed man was determined that Zimbabwe and Georgia are "right next door." Is that totally wrong? Hey, for now we will just have to think that....
Ok this takes the cake...................Aubrey just yells out from his room (he's in bed) "GET 'ER DONE!" He is learning so much from school."

My Mapquest Has To Be Wrong !

I had an appointment yesterday with someone who wanted to get a insurance policy. Simple enough, right? Well, it started off a "little" interesting.....Here is how it goes.

First, the man is from Cambodia, and he was a little hard to understand. I got his address while talking to him on the phone, and I was going to meet him at his place of employment. He owned some kind of business.....Again, I really had a hard time understanding him so I didn't know what type of place I was going to be walking into..

I typed in the address into map quest, printed it off, and off I went! It was on Tara Blvd....I am looking at the numbers on the buildings...I am getting closer....I see the number I am looking for on a building....I pull into the parking lot...This CAN NOT be the place! Well, how should I say this? I was in front of one of those "shady" spas. You know the one you see on the news from time to time....Where not so legal activities go on and they make busts and arrest people?? What do I do? I want to write this guy, but I don't actually want to be seen walking into this place...(right on the main road where everyone drives up and down....of course with my luck I would be seen) I thought a minute, and decided to call Mr. Cambodian. (his real name is Mr. Hung Ho....that is a story in itself, right? ) Well, he answers. I say, "I am here." Are you working at "the spa?" He says no. Behind, behind, behind. ????? He said, "be right there." Right away this man appears and escorts me to the back of the building where the was another business! He owned a body shop. That was close! Anyway, I had a good appointment. I was a little freaked out for a minute at first! I told Michelle about it, and her only response was, "just don't get a massage if anyone offers you one!" Thanks honey! Yeah, it would have been funny if after arriving at the auto/body shop some dude offered my a massage! HA

Did anyone see THE OFFICE on Thursday? I DIDN'T ! Something happened to the satellite while this show was on! I was SO mad! If anyone taped it please let me know..I did buy the season one DVD. I will have to go and buy season 2 also! I was mad all night! I will get over it though!
